TEDxUChicago is a local, independently organized event at The University of Chicago that strives to re-create the unique experience found at TED, where the world´s leaders, thinkers and doers congregate to share what they are most passionate about. At its core, the fundamental goal of TED and The University of Chicago is to foster and spear great ideas. We aim to provide a platform where the smartest thinkers, greatest visionaries, and most fascinating teachers will be inspired and will have the opportunity to inspire others. Our conference will be held at The University of Chicago Campus on Sunday, April 17th 2011 from 9am to 6pm, and will be centered on the theme: Reinventing the Life of the Mind. The diverse group of students, faculty, and alumni present will be able to learn from one another, both as speakers and attendees, and will leave the conference driven to creatively improve our collective future.

PhiNix Dance Crew aims to promote a stronger hip-hop dance community within our campus and the surrounding Hyde Park neighborhood. In the past year, we worked to foster an environment where dancers can express and push their creative talents by offering weekly workshops on many different aspects of hip hop dance.
