Phil Foden’s red card midway through the first half – for a reaction to Bruno Fernandes’ kick in his back – made things tough for Enzo Maresca’s Blues in the Italian’s first derby as boss. However, Haaland’s tight finish on the hour sealed a memorable victory from a brilliantly performance behind enemy lines. Although Manchester United spent more than 67 minutes with the numerical advantage, an outstanding defensive display meant they mustered just three shots on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s goal.
