Fang Wanzhi, a girl born in the 1970s from Shenxianding, a remote mountain area in Yuxian County, faced emotional and family upheavals, dropping out of university at 20. Accompanied by her adopted daughter Fang Miaomiao and confidant Gao Xiang, she returned to her hometown, Shenxianding, settling down where her journey began.
